| Hi I have a 2000 runner sr5 and i cannot get the key out of the ignition it wont turn to the off position. any replies will help |

| Iwent through this with my 99 tacoma.I ended up having to go to a locksmith,who told me that my key was worn out,and by removing the passenger doorpanel,got numbers off the lock cylender,which enabled him to make a new key.(getting the key out involved turning the key and steering wheel, and some force) |

| The Toyota dealer can cut a key based upon the VIN number as well. You'll likely have to show some sort of ID and proof that you own the car though.
