| every time I twist the suspension the springs make noises and I was wounding if there is anything I can do to quit them down?They are leaf springs on 81 Toy 4x4. |

| I use a paint spray gun filled with old gear oil and spray it between leaf with truck jacked up. Works like a champ. |

PAt - if you live in a really dusty environment, there are two other things you can do.
The easiest is to put graphite powder between the leaves. I did that a few times when living in Tucson and it worked well.
Alternatively, and this is a bit more work, you can order teflon pads and put them at the ends of the biggest few leaf springs. It will require you to drill holes in the ends of the spring and pop them in, but this is something that will require no maintenance afterwards.
