The oil guage on my 1995 SR5 V6 4-Runner usually runs in the dead center of the guage while driving on the freeway, yet when I stop at a light it goes way down to the left under the hash mark. I have noticed that I need to put in oil about once a week if I cruise with the air conditioner on a lot. It is very hot where I live, Palmdale, CA. There are no external oil leaks anywhere, my driveway is spotless but where could my oil be going? It doesn't seem to smoke. Also the power has gone way down lately. I have heard of head gaskets going bad on these V6 motors, how can you tell? Thanks!
