| I'm looking to level out the front end of my 2000 Z71 4x4 Silverado, so I can put 285/75R16's on it. I've been told there has been some success putting 3/4 Ton torion bars on (going from 7600# to 8700# rating), which will lift it some - 3/4" to 1 1/2" in the front. Anyone with any experience with this? |

you don't need to buy new torsion bars. Tighten the ones you have a little bit and your front will raise up. 1.park on level pavement.2.
have a friend hold a yardstick from ground next to fender. 3. tightn torsion bars with impact wrench. 4.raise about 1 1/2 inches to level nicely.
5. repeat on other side...does not void warranty or stress truck at all..done many trucks this way..NH |

You are in luck, there is kit to level the front end for 99 and up 1/2 ton 4x4's. You can check it out at www.hill4wheeldrive.com. You will get about 2" up on the front end without much work. The only hastle is the folks at hill4 are really backed up on these things so you may have to wait but it's worth it. I also have a friend that cranked up on his front torsion bars for his z71 and then took it to get it align because it messes up your camber.
