I'm looking for a 2-3 inch lift for my 98 Z71 that is not costly or something that will allow me put 33" tires on my truck.

You'll need a 4" lift to clear 33's without any rubbing at full steering lock. There are a number of lower-budget lift kits for that truck. ProComp, Rancho, Skyjacker and Superlift all come to mind for mid-range cost lift kits.

A big question is what type of driving and off-roading you'll do with your truck once it is lifted. This helps define what type of lift you might want.
