Hey whats up, I'm a newbie. I recently bought a 98 GMC ext. cab Z71. And it has dual flowmasters, but the 3 and a half tips are rusting off. I am going to get stainless steel but I didnt know whether to get 3 1/2 inch tips or 4 inch tips.

Would 4 inch tips make a difference in sound? Which looks better? They come straight out the back right now. Any help will be appreciated.

thanks, brandon

If it's not GM, I don't want it.

I honestly don't think you'll get any different sound from the size difference. It might get a little more of a "metal" sound to the exhaust, but you're resonating at near maximum with the 3.5's.

As far as looks go, that's up to you. Do what you think looks best.
