Could someone tell me how far I can adjust my torsion bars on my truck to level it out.( ie. 1/2 turn, 1 full turn) What is a "safe" adjustment that will not damage my bars or ride too bad? Do I need to lower the bump stops to ride against the torsion bars?

adjusting your torsion bars is simple enough but i found that after to do this your wheel camber will be way off. I adjusted my front end on a 01 HD 3 turns and it looks great but be wearry it will screw up your steering so get it realligned or if you have a good floor jack and lotts of time do it your self and save 100+ dollars, good luck ------------ Randy at 4/16/2002 6:41:33 PM

if you are going to adjust your torsion bars make sure you adjust them the same. i'd say you can go 3 turns up on each side safely, i've seen it done many times before. also, torsion bars shouldn't affect camber as far as i know. they're a completely different adjustment.

Ride height DOES effect wheel Camber due to suspension geometry and it can effect tire wear and handling too. Also increase ride height places front suspension near or at top of suspension travel which can also result in a pitchy ride at time. This is not as harmless as some suggest

I have done the "big tire" thing for the past few years and I am looking to return my 2001 2500HD to the factory torsion bar settings. Does anyone know what the front end is set at from the factory on this model?
