I just purchased a new Z71 Tahoe. I would like to start doing some upgrades to the motor for more power/MPG. Besides a drop-in K&N, what else can be done, ie coil, complete intake, exhaust, SP wires, etc. Also, where is the best place to buy accessories--bug shield, window deflectors, etc. Thanks a lot.

if you want more power the place to focus is intake and exhaust, your engine has more potential that cant be released unless you can help it breath beter, upgrading to a free flowing intake like the air raid is good and even better when together with a throttle body spacer also from air raid (makes a cool turbo sound),and a cat back exhaust sytem (the bigger the pipe the better)and headers(optinal) ive noticed that the tahoes have a crappy stock exhaust, best bet would be a full exhaust system upgrade. then you could move on to better wires and plugs(bosch). for even more power use a computer tuner like hypertech's all this will really increase power/mpg! i hope this helps ------------ Darrin at 5/10/2002 9:13:24 PM
