I noticed that a lot of people are wondering how much larger tires will affect thier speedometer readings. Considering the possible consequences of not know how fast you might actually be going, I feel the same. The best place I have found to calculate this is www.dakota-truck.net. Just click on the tire calculator and you can plug in your old tire size and your new size along with your gear ratio. This will give you speedometer/odometer error at various speeds/mileage. It will also calculate your new gear ratio and rpm changes. I know if has the dodge logo, but it is a pretty good stie. By the way, I have a GMC 2500 HD that is getting some 285's put on it today. I feel like a kid at Christmas.
