Hello Everyone,
I currently own a 1996 Chevy Suburban 1500 4x4 that has a 6" Procomp lift with 35" tires. I recently had replaced my brake pads and shoes consisting of the following new crossed drilled and slotted rotors, Hawk performance pads and new calipers. The rear brake shoes were replaced and drums turned. I also had the front ball joints replaced and a wheel alignment done. After all that my truck seems to pull to the left when apply heavy brakes. Has any experienced the same symptoms? Also let me know how to fix this problem. All feedback and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance. |

First I would have the brakes rebleed and also check the air in both front tires to be sure they are equal and if that doesn't work check the sending unit at the brake cylinder to see if it is working properly.

Nick,
I bleed the brakes numerous times, no air bubbles are present. Also confirmed that the tire air pressure are balanced. I replaced the master cylinder. How do I verify the sending unit at the brake cylinder is working properly? Could this proble be related to the ABS system? Please advise.
Thanks....

| I had the same problem with my '96 Sierra ... I replaced both front brake hoses and calipers and the problem was solved. Try replacing the hoses up front ... they only cost $40 for the pair. That should do the trick. |
