Hi everyone, sure hope someone out there can help, I have a 1998 Chevrolet full size pu, Z-71 With the instra-trac pushbutton 4wd, when I push the button from 2hi to 4hi I hear something goin on in the transfer case but the light just flashes, and the 4wd is not engaging, the same problem occurs when I go from 2hi to 4lo, and when I go from 4hi to 4lo the 4hi light stops flashing and goes solid and the 4lo light flashes and still the wheels won't spin..
any help is most appreciated, thanks |

I am not sure how your type of 4wd system works but my truck had the automatic locking hubs and when I would shift it into 4wd you would hear the transfer case shift but because one of the hubs was bad neither front wheel would engage. So if their is some sort of electronic or vacuum type sensor that locks the front wheels in I would check that.
