Anybody know where I can get a "cargo floor" for my 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71. A company in Texas called TSI used to make a so-called "cargo floor" for various suv's and minivans. I was basically a 4" deep plastic tray with 3 or 4 compartments and a lid which fit into the cargo area behind the 3rd seat. Nice way to store stuff out of site and still have a floor to haul things on. Unfortunately, they only made for 2000 and earlier models and have now ceased production entirely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

John,
Are you talking about boxes with, or without sliding drawers in them?

Well, the item made by TSI used to be an open 4 compartment box that fit snugly in the area benind the rear seat. It had 4 lids covering each compartment and when closed, from outside the car, it looked like the floor.
You can view it at http://www.saddlebags.com/cargo_floor.htm.
Thanks for your prompt reply

I've found a number of cargo boxes, but all are made of wood or steel and have slide-out drawers instead of lift-open type tops. Similar setup, where there's a flat surface to stack things onto, but they are drawer style instead.
Have you contacted TSI (the makers of the compartment you mentioned) to see if they're going to make any for 2000+ year models?

Rick,
I've contacted TSI directly and they said that they are no longer making their so-called "cargo floors" and have stopped production entirely. Too bad, since it seemed like a really nice item. Also too bad for me since I live in NYC and work in Brooklyn where it's common for someone to get their car broken into if some "bootie" is visible in the rear cargo area.
I'd really like to see the cargo boxes that you've mentioned. Especially those that are custom-fit to my 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71.
Also, (I know that this is a different subject) a few years ago a friend of mine had an air-compressor mounted under the hood of his Suburban. It had a self-winding spool of hose that was long enough to reach all of his tires (including the spare) whenever he needed to air up his tires (esp. after off-roading). I've lost touch with this friend and cannot find this item anywhere. Any ideas?
Thanks again for your help.

John,
I moved a copy of this thread to our new discussion forums at the following URL... I'm trying to get people to the new bulletin boards. ;)

Would you be so kind as to register on the new boards and carry the conversation on there?
I'll check into the air system...
