| I have a 96 3/4 ton sub. I know about turning up the bars to level the front, but it is already level. Will a 285/75-16 fit? It has 245/75-16 w/ an aftermarket American racing rim. Looking at the wheel wells, I may need to trim the front bumper a bit, but that should be about it.Has anyone tried a 255/85-16? It is still 33inches tall, but only 10 inches wide vs the 11.3 for the 285/75. Just found this forum today, looks like some good stuff thanks for the advice! |

Do expect a lose of performace and maybe some mPG as well because the large tires makes the effective overall ratio taller making the engine work harder at a lower RPM and same ground speed vs with stock tires. Bleow is a link to a on line tire size and axle ratio calculator. Feel free to use it anytime.
