Has anyone tried a tire in this size? It is a 33X10 vs a 285/75-16 which is a 33x11.3

A 285/75 is a bit smaller. Try tires size calculator below

I used to run a 33X10 on my 75 short bed chevy, it only had a 4in lift on it. They were BFG/ATs, so they worked beautifully. Great for all around usage, towing a small trailer, light trail use, not to mention every weather condition I can think of. But the size never affected me...what is your quarell with the size? Are they giving you a problem like rubbing?

I have not put either size on as of yet. I did have some concerns about rubbing. The bumpers have been trimmed. I'm not sure if there will be contact at the back side of the wheel well. It is also about $150 less to go with the 255/85-16(33x10) vs the 285/75-16(33x11.3). I am looking at the BFG M/T. Possibly the Bridgestone M/T. But I think the BFG is a better tire. We have been running BFG A/T's on out other vehicles and they are worth the $.
