They are a quality unit but just remember that this style locker like others has only two modes of operation, both wheel driven at same speed or one wheel drive with one wheel coasting in turns. They cannot power both wheels at different speeds ina turn because there are no spidergears left to do this which can lead to some tires squealing and scrubing in turn under power and effect handling some too. Not trying to be grim reaper but the people that make these replacement lockers are not to clear about these facts. They can be "nasty" on a slick road.

Lets just say ice will not be a friend of yours come winter....or ice and bare pavement sections (that will be even worse). I can tell you from expierience that you are likely to blow your rearend on turns with a mixed bare pavement and ice.

Yes this tendancy together with a short wheel base can lead to some very "exciting" moments.

It is a mechanical locker as well with no spider gears either. It is a sturdy unit but like PowerTrax it cannot power both wheels at different speeds in a turn. The Power Trax is smoother in operation than Detriot Locker. ( the detriot can be clunky)
