I'm in the midst of hooking up an air horn to my truck. I did all the "hard" installation stuff and tonight I figured I'd do the "easy" wiring stuff. But when I disconnected the harness connector from the stock horn, I found that it has TWO wires connected to it (a green one and a black one). What's the deal here? Every horn I ever looked at in my life always had one wire (the +) and the unit was grounded by the bolt holding it in place. Why does Chevy use 2 wires? Which is the +? And can I power the new horn by just tapping into one of the old wires or do I have to use both?

As usual, thanks in advance for your help.

The green is power, and the black is ground.

Use the green wire to go to the horn's positive hook up. Then use the black wire on one of the bolts that you secure the horn with. You should be good to go at that point.
