If you put them on a 1500 IFS truck you are going to have shorter ball joint life and alignment issues and resulting tire wear problems too so do not expect to put them on and run 50K miles. Also better plan a axle ratio gear change as it is going to be a slug without a gear change and no air cleaner, tun or exhaust is going to fix that. It can shorten tranny life too.

I have read some about them and they seem good. I just want some opinions about the difference between the two tires, from offroading, to onroad, mud, sand, and the three biggest are how long they last, how much they cost, and how easy it is to find them in 36 inches. thanks!

OK... so lets actually try and answer the question that was asked here. ;)

In regards to the difference between these tires, there really isn't a whole lot of difference. From what I remember, the Coopers were a tad bit louder on the street, but they had a tougher compound.

The BFG mud terrain ta/km's (venerable tires) have a softer compound which is great for off-roading and quieter on the street, but will last a wee bit shorter than the Coopers.

Overall, both of these tires will do a WONDERFUL job in every situation but mud. In order for those tires to be worth a darn in the mud, you have to keep them spinning at very high rpms, or they'll plug up pretty badly. Most of this is due to the direction and slant of the outter lugs, which don't shed mud as well as tires such as the Boggers or SSL's.

You'll really like either tire, but if money wasn't an issue, I would choose the BFG's over the Coopers (I like the looks, and I think they're a slightly better made tire).

IMHO of course.
