| i just bought a 99 s-10 Zr2, and i was wondering if a lift kit for a regular 4x4 s-10 will work under a Zr2. Ive fount a 5.5" susp. lift for a 99s-10, but wasnt sure if it will work with the Zr2 susp. I also would like to know if I can find longer torsion bars to level the front of my Zr2. |

Ummm...I`m addicted.
I just picked up another Jeep today. Actually, I bought it specifically for the engine, but it might be too nice to part out.
79 Wagoneer Limited with only 36000 miles. I`m sure that`s an accurate number. Interior is mint and it came with 2 sets of AMC/Jeep keys with NO wear on them!
Bad stuff: lower third of the body all the way around [except the tailgate] is swiss cheese but it came with replacement panels [maybe I`ll learn how to do body work] and the rear spring mounts need to be replaced.

Hey Mo!
Might make a great article, the body work. From a neophytes standpoint that is. If you need any assistance, Tony (tony@4x4review.com) is a great body man. He`s won all sort of stuff in car shows and has been in several magazine, books etc.
What do you think?

Hey Dave,
In regards to your Jeep. You know what they say... "When it`s done, it`s for sale!" :)
Might be an interesting article about military four wheel drives... maybe some of their unique capabilities like run flat, PTO winches, etc.?
What do you think?

Whoops!
I could do that, I have some pretty good pictures I could send to accompany the article. I have personally been run over by a Russian built BRDM personnel carrier while a passenger in a HMMWV, (nobody hurt but it was a hair raiser) in addition to routinely trashing tires and other parts on same vehicle--fighting in the desert is pretty rough on the vehicles. My driver just recently destroyed the front end. I have pictures of most of this. Vehicles I have ready access to are: HMMWV (Humvee), 2 1/2 tons, Sheridan tanks, M1 Tanks, Bradley fighting vehicles. I don`t know if you would be interested in the tracked vehicles but I could cover them if you want.

Yeah! That would be cool. I think that the tracked vehicles could be a nice segway to the article witha focus on the way-cool features of the 4+ wheel drive military vehicles (e.g. run-flat, night-lights, etc.).
Look forward to it!
Thanks!
