| I used to sell Gibson Exahust exclusively at the truck store I worked at 2 years ago. I loved them. Good power gains, and a real nice mellow rumble. Deffinately not overwhelming. But you can still hear the power. Plus you can get their systems in stainless steel, for a lifetime of good sound, looks, and performance. That is my two cents, and I am sure others would agree. |

Most of the high-end performance exhausts (Corsa, Gibson, Magnaflow, Borla, etc.) are made out of aluminized steel or stainless steel so that they don't rust out and/or blow out their baffling mechanisms.
Thrush, Flowmasterand some others are made of steel, and will eventually rust out. Flowmaster is definately on the high-end of the spectrum, and their mufflers are made of super thick steel, so they tend to last a very long time.
