| When I turn on my air conditioning and i accelerate, there is a loud sqealing noise that is coming out from under my hood. It also happens when my heat is on and is on the window defrosting mode. I think it has to do with the air compressor or something in that area. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone else had this problem...Thanks |

AC - It is very likely your AC compressor.
When you turn on the defrosters the AC Compressor automatically kicks on.
Needless to say - is also comes on when you turn on the AC.
You can tell by looking when it comes on. If you watch it while the engine is running you will see the compressor engage and disengage. The drive that the belt is turning will start and stop turning. |

| Check your belt for cracks and glazing. That would be what the squeal is, unless the bearings in the compressor are going out. Which is possible. |

| yeah check your belt first. it's cheaper than an ac compressor, easier to fix, and it could be the problem. the ac could be adding more tension on the belt(since it has to turn that compressor over) making it squeak. |

Agreed... an old belt that has been glazed from heat can cause the squeal.
