| I have had an s-15 4*4 for 2 years and I was just wondering if any one knows alot abot s-15 v8 engine conversions. My Q. was if you still need to change the oil pan if you have a 5" suspension lift? What size rearend would be best for this type of situation? How does that effect you drive shafts? and one more thing, a guy at an auto shop sad that suspenion lifts are extremly bad for s-series trucks, is this true?
Answers to any of these questions would be greatly helpful.
Thanx |

Warren,
I have a s-blazer with a 350. I am pretty sure with the 5 inch lift you do not need the special oil pan. Mine has a 3 inch body lift instead of the suspension lift. I did not have any problems with my driveshafts. I am also still running the stock rearend with no failures yet. I personally do not ike the lifts for s-10 myself because they are to expensive and do not seem very strong. But that is just my opinion.
Good luck,
Chris |
