Hello everyone. I have been trying to find a snorkel for my 1989 chevy suburban but I have not had any luck. Does anyone know where I can find one. I have done a google search with no luck. Thanks for the help.

I have the same year sub And I was looking for one aswell. I have seen on another site a sub w/one and he modified one for a toyota (80s full size cruiser) he said with some heat (like a heat gun, which is a heavy duty blow dryer) like body guys use to remove stickers and trim glue you can bend the tube to follow the body. heres a link to a pic of his http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/176055 Nick (if the link doesnt work go to www.cardomain.com and do a search for gmc suburbans and click the offroad box)

You know it's going to be a good day when you get the milk to cereal ratio correct on the first bowl.

The site I referd to above is the same reference he makes and he stated he had to custumize his! He made it sound like when I talked to him it was his suburban in the movie but I don't know about that. Nick

I remember talking to the original guy some years back when I lived in Tucson, and he was selling the truck in the Phoenix area.

In regards to the snorkels... Since I don't know of anyone who makes shorkels for Chevy (sounds like a good money maker huh?), I don't see why you couldn't use a Ford SuperDuty snorkel with some modifications: http://www.4wheelsupply.com/arb/safari-snorkels-ford.htm

Or, you could make your own like this guy did: http://www.off-road.com/chevy/tech/snorkel/
