| I have a 99 GMC Z71. My E brakes are scraping the inside of my disks.
I cannot figure out why they're scraping in the first place. I've compressed the brakes down to where they dont even engage when applying the E brake, yet still they scrape when driving. I purchased the truck used and I guess it's possible they could be the wrong disks for the truck, but I doubt it. Anyone have any advice? Thanks, Thomas |

Could it be that there is mud / dirt in there, or has it been cleaned thoroughly?
Also, Are you positive that this is where the sound is coming from? Have you jacked up a wheel and spun it? It could be a bad bearing or something like that too.
