My 2002 Silverado 2500HD 4x4, no lift, stock tires gets
8.5mpg in the city and 12.5mpg on the highway.

Yes, 10 mile per gallon on matter how you drive. 10mph to 110mph so I drive 110mph any where I go.

| I have a 2002 with a 4 inch lift , and 285 tires and i get 10.2 mpg and i drive it pretty hard, there is no such thing as "Highway Miles" where i come from ..... |

Fill it up with 89 or 93 and it will show you a different "animal" under the hood and improve MPG a bit too. |

I would call 9.1 to 1 on a large bore 496 a high compression motor for sure. GM's knock control "let's" you run 87 but you loose a lot of potenail power on a warm or hot day with it. |
