| ok in the last month i have spent about 500.00 on new parts for my 1991 chevy s-10 blazer, when it died, it was on the freeway, just totally lost power choked and died, we let it sit there for about two hours came back and it started up again as if nothing had been wrong, drove it for a little while to get it back home, it did it again after about twenty minutes, it did this several times, now it finally wont stay running... we have changed the spark plug wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, timing chain and gears, the truck has 200,000 miles on it, but the thing is it did not act as if it was the engine blowing. please if you know of anything that might be causing this, let me know. |

check your ground wires(small ones not the battery wire)
Had a 94 tempo that did that had a bad connector on a ground wire |
|

This sounds like vapor lock, which we know very rarely happens to fuel injected systems, but makes me believe there might be a problem with the fuel delivery system. I'd start by checking the voltage and ohm readins on the injectors, the TPS sensor and so on.

| Try your distributor. Are the cap and rotor clean? Any corrosion, if so it (cap an rotor)may need to be replaced. Coil pack, corroded or disconnected partially. Plug wires, plugs. But if you have spark these won't usually be the problems. Fuel injectors clogged, from dirty gas. Air flow sensor could be out. |

| Also, when your muffler bearing goes out, it is time to rotate the air in your tires and check your headlight fluid....j/k. |

| Don't forget to check the tesion and torque settings on your piston-return springs. Once those go bad... it's all over buddy! |

Check fuel pressure too when engine will not run. Also if all of this check good, check for a slug of water in tank because it raise cane with the TBI injectors and cuts off the fuel flow for a while when it get it there. It does not take much either. |
