| You basically need to either raise front end or lower rear end with recurved springs. You could also remove a leaf or two from rear sping too but then if you ever carried a load with thes solutions or towed a trailer your truck would then be nose high and tail low. Not sre why some want to level a P/U when they were designed that way to begin with as it defeat their abilty to carry a load when need be. |

| You can do a couple of things to level out your truck. First you could take out your factory 2" block in the rear, and this should level the truck out. Second you could replace your factory torsion keys with a set of FORD keys, AIM Industries, Hill4WheelDrive, SuspensionMaxx or just about any other torsion key replacement. The FORD key is by far the cheapest of them all. This will give you the ability to level out the front of your truck, and then some. If going this route don't go to far with the lift, this will stiffen up the ride if you max it out, but if you just level the truck out you will never notice the difference in the ride. |

| When you raise front end with a key though you get a lot closer to the downward limit of suspension travel and this can cause some problems when you are on a road with pot holes as truck may shudder, thump and pitch suddenly as suspension tops out when wheel drop into a hole exceeds availible suspension travel. There are no "free rides" here. |

Doesn't anyone make a kit for this though? I don't mind spending some cash on it to make sure it's done right.
I've also heard of coil-spring spaces that can be put underneath the springs, I think they're made out of polyurethane or something.
Thanks |

| The coil spacers will not work since you are dealing with a IFS system. The leveling kit can be purchased from many different places, but they are all going to do the same. The FORD keys will only cost you about $40 or you could go with what I used from SusepensionMaxx which are made for the cheverolet, but they cost more around $180. Like I said you can pay less and use the FORD keys and use the rest of the money toward the labor of install unless you do it your self. Remember that changing your keys out you will have to get the truck re-aligned, but then again when ever you adjust your torsion bars you will need to have it re-aligned at some point. You will like the look of your truck once you do this. You will have people say this is not the right whay to do it, but then again you are always going to have other people speaking their opinion. Remember do what you want to do not what other people would like you to say and do. Good luck on getting your truck leveled out. |

I still do not recommand it because it will place front suspension at or near the limit of its extension and have funny quirks on bumpy and uneven roads. |

| I'd recommend going to SuspensionMaxx' website. They have a lot of info anf you can e-mail them questions. They also list authorized installers in your area (or at least the closest). I am considering the same. In my opinion the Chevys jsut don't look right sitting down 1.5 to 2" in the front. The only way to use the coil spring extensions is if you have the 2WD with front coil springs, the 4WD or Z71 has the torsion bars. If you do it yourself be VERRRY Careful, the torsion bars are definitely under pressure. Oh Yeah the keys are $179.00, not sure what labor would be, but I do know they recommend a special installation tool that runs $129.00. I'd go for the professonal install myself, and get the alignmnet done too. If you want more lift consider a body lift kit, fairly easy to do at home if you are moderately adept with auto mechanics and have the tools. This CAN be used with the leveling keys. Try the lift first though if you want to do both. May be all you need. Performance Accessories has a 2" or 3" kit for that truck. They have a website also. |
