Hey all, what do you think of Offroad Design's front bumper setup?? Looks like helluva stout piece of equipment...any testimonials?? I am thinkin' I want one. From reading various mags it seems pretty proven.[bartor]....man and machine, no better thing.

Hey ChevyMan - I've known Steve Watson for the last 9 years (wheeled with him in Moab 5 or 6 times, see him at SEMA, etc) and can personally vouch for his engineering and fabrication. I've wheeled his original Blazer a few times (nothing extreme) while in Moab and if his bumper is anything like the rest of the fabrication, you'll never have to worry about it.

Very nicely designed.

By the way - if you do get one of these bumpers (or any other parts from him), tell him that Rick Webster from 4X4REVIEW.COM sent you.

Thank you very much. That seals the deal. When I go and get a bumper in the next month, Off Road Design will be my pick. And I deffinatly will notify them of your recomendation. When I do get it, I will have to report on it. (Which means beating the living crap out of it, if possible.) Thanks again for the no nonsense info. I live in Alaska so it might take longer to get, but I will revisit this topic.

I work at a place called Custom Truck in Anchorage, and we have sold a couple of those bad arse bumpers. The word "bulletproof" comes to mind!!

Just not quite the bumper I had in mind for my blazer...I was thinking for awhile of just taking an I beam and welding it to my frame...but that seemed more and more extreme....I did notice how ever that the guys at Petersen's decided on the Offroad Design bumper for project Ultimate K10. Now that is a truck, I mean no frills stripped down to what ya really need TRUCK. My friends said it was false advertising (Wallet worthy). But my figuring on the matter is that they built a solid, well built, sturdy as heck truck on a real workingman's budget. Not saying that it was "cheap", but definatley reasonable.
