| it has a 8.25IFS front alxe and a 10 bolt rear axle with a 4L60E automatic (the 4L60E is just a electronically controller 700R4). Drive train will hold up oaky if left reasonable stock (no maore than say 33 inch tires with a mild lift) Pay attention to axle ratios and do not buy one that does not have a GT4 axle ratio code (3.73) on options list even though this is too tall for oversized tires such as 33's it is a lot better than a 3.42 or taller axle ratio. The reason for this is though the 4L60 is a good tranny, big tires with tall gears relative to them takes a toll on tranny and can push it to a early grave. Do install a aux tranny cooler on one if you get it as it is cheap insurance. |
