Why? You may ask, and this is the reason!! So today my truck would not start, turned but no fire. So I think, maybe I flooded it... no, that wasnt it...so I thought a little harder. A serious vacuum leak?? No, that checked out ok. I already have new plugs and wires, so I pop the distributor cap. Bingo! (so I thought) The copper was all scarred and corroded. And the rotor was looking a bit like a red headed step child. So, I put a nice new pretty MSD one on. And try to fire her up, but to no avail. Then I thought back to when we had that discussion on the COIL going out and how I had NEVER had it happen! So I pull it out and I proceed to test it, and guess what? No current! So I got a nice new pretty MSD one and tested it (to be sure) and it was good. Put it in, and.....well....it still doesnt fire! But my point is this, apparently a coil CAN go bad. I have no idea how, but mine did. Oh, and does anyone know why my freakin truck wont start?

When Good Coils Go Bad! Sounds like a bad movie to me! [:)]

As far as your truck not starting... Have you checked to see if there is any gas in the tank? Sorry man - couldn't resist asking that question.

Hahahahaha, yea there is...but man that would suck!! I think it may be the module in the distributor, since I am getting NO spark, lol. But unfortunatley I do not have the time for it as I am going back to Prudhoe Bay tomorrow. So two weeks in the hole for me!! Back to beating the crap outa Superduty's, and exposing myself to radiation!!!!

I am an Industrial Radiographer by trade. But the only trucks up here in Prudhoe Bay are Superdutys. Everything from F250s up to F750s. And we try our hardest to break every part on them!!!
