Anybody have any suggestions for a good ON-LINE parts reference for my 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71. I usually get my parts thru www.gmpartsdirect.com (the local dealer is mega expensive), the website always has the parts but they don't always give a good description or photo of the part. Thanks.

John - that site is a little deceiving at first, but it is an online parts manual. You just need to click down and into the parts pictures on each page.

Unless that is, you're looking more for an online "service" manual.

Well, the problem is that my parking brake cable snapped the other day and I can't find the parts # at www.gmpartsdirect.com or at www.lmctruck.com. It's just the short cable that's maybe a foot and a half long that runs INSIDE my truck from the hand release lever to the metal release on the pedal. Any ideas?

If it is not hard to remove, I would get one from a bone yard. Those items are usually pretty trouble free unless they succomb to elements.
