| If you got dough, go with a Fabtech. Otherwise, try the Superlift. Either way, those are all good brands-ProComp, Rancho, Skyjacker, etc |

Actually, if you really want quality, and I mean REAL quality...Go with RCD. They really do make some of the best Chevy kits I have ever seen or drivin. Being that I have rode virtually all of these kits on Chevys at one time or another, I have my own opinions on what defines a good kit. Cheap does not constitute a good kit. Most of the time, you get what you pay for. Especially when it comes to automotive. I have owned a Tough Country kit for one of my Chevys, it was pretty rough. And the hardware was all grade 3 and 5. And the leaf packs had no wrap around the leafs to keep them in place. They had ok shocks, since most of the companies base models use the same shock brands.
FabTech happens to have one of the most advanced facilities and engineers working on their products. They specify the grade for each piece of hardware (they abuse and test it before deciding which to use). The quality of the welds is superb ( that is what I do for a living, inspect welds). They have a great variety of shocks, some very adjustable. And their springs are military wraped also, plus they have teflon pads between the leafs. All these same things can be said of RCD. Except in my opinion, and others, RCD takes it another level. RCD offers Bilstien shocks, in their stock package. And anyone who knows Bilstien knows that their shocks rock! RCD's parts are all CNC cut, and welded. Plus all their parts are made in America. Just go to a store that carrys all of these brands. Have the sales associate pull out some front crossmembers and compare them. You will notice the difference right away. I guarantee it. |
