I have an 05 rubicon with 38000 miles on it.  We just put on a 4 inch lift, a steering stablizer, and a drop pitman arm.  I get a vibration that rattles everything in the jeep around 45 mph and higher.  My tires are a little chopped but it wasn't doing this until I put the lift on.  It's been to an alignment shop and they thought it was in the drive tran.  Any suggestions on what to do?  It's almost time for trails and I have to get this figured out.

Does your Jeep shake wildly? Does the steering wheel shake in your hands like crazy when you hit this speed? Or, is this just a vibration?

I ask because they are two very different things - one is called a death wobble (seriously), and will scare the ever living crap out of you - it must be fixed right away. Tell us if it's a death wobble, or if it's just a bad vibration and we can point you in the right direction.

I have a 2005 wrangler that started shaking around 35000 miles, it shakes at 45 miles up to 55 miles.I have never taken it off road, I have put 3 new sets of tires, it has stock wheels, I have had it balanced and I rotate tires every 2000 miles or less, 2 inch spacer only on front springs, just replaced track bar with pro-comp track bar, replaced steering stabilizer with heavy rancho stabilizer bar, I had front end checked several times checking on tie rods, ball joints.etc. Now at 45000 miles it still shakes around 45 miles to the point that I have to stop. I am tired of dealing with shops including 4 wheel drive shops that build trucks, I am now going to take it down myself and go through it and see if I can fix the problem. Also have had it at the jeep shop several times. I am now going to check brake rotors.
