all of sudden this problem came up and i dont know what to do!!!!! ok, when start the jeep, all the interior lights stay on. until i power off the radio(stock) and then power it back on, then they go off. also the same thing happens when i turn on my headlights/ parking lights. i have no clue what could cause this or how to fix it. any help would be greatly appreciated thatnk you.

Not sure this solves the riddle, but it may help to troubleshoot a bit.

Most interior lights work just the opposite of other electrical components. What I mean is that they use a ground interrupt switch, versus a 'hot lead' type switch. Essentially, the positive feed to the lights are always hot but the power circuit isn't complete because the ground switch is open. When you open the door or turn the knob on the the headlights, this closes the ground portion and completes the circuit.

You might be asking... where is Rick going with this? Well - I'd likely start to look at the ground wires under the dash and see if something got pulled, torn or ripped away. Typically many circuits share the same ground, which might explain why the radio being turned on an off (and other components) affect the interior lights.

Again, this likely isn't the solution, but it might help you to trace this down. I'd start by looking for something obvious and then doing a continuity check on the ground circuits.

i would look closely at the wire for the dimmer as it is the only wire that ties together all three components. good luck
