Sean:

there are a couple of things that can account for this - first thing I would look at is the balancing of your tires, were they done on a bubble or high speed balancer? if they are in balance then check your u-joints, my 94 YJ had the same thing and balancing the tires took care of the problem for about 6 months then it started again - tires were fine but my rear u-joint was starting to bind.

Have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that vibrates when I stop and apply brakes at stop signs, traffic light. Can also be felt when when in park but not as bad. Vehicle runs fine. What might this be? Check your motor mounts. I had that problem and it was a bad mount on the drivers side.

The jeeps have a real problrm with low speed vibration. This is pretty much normal.but also check the transmission rear mount. The rubber ceter will collaspe. If you had any exaust work, these guys will sometimes weld the exaust to the frame, the jeep uses rubber peices in between the exaust and the frame to cut down on vibration. ------------ at 11/8/2003 5:09:55 PM
