I have a '94 Jeep Wrangler and for some reason it wont start. It sounds like it's not getting enough fuel or something. I tried cleaning the fuel system, does anyone have any idea what it could be???

Could be a number of things. How did you clean the fuel system? Is there fuel pressure at the injector rail? I hate to ask this, but are you sure there is gas in the tank. If the sending unit goes bad it may say you have fuel, but you have an empty tank. Disconnect the coil and pull the fuel line off the pressure regulator and have someone crank the engine while you hold the hose into a glass jar. If it pumps fuel out, then you can rule out the pump and filter.

A 94 Wrangler w/a 4.0 has EFI, I wouldnt recommend you try Steve's suggestion. If you want to check fuel pressure there's a schrader valve on the fuel rail you can put a gauge on. Do you know if its getting spark or not? If you thinks it a fuel issue you could try to pour a little gas down the intake/throttle body and see if it starts. ------------ Steve at 6/14/2004 1:46:07 PM
