| I am looking for a 3.5" suspension lift. I do not do much 4X4ing, I am just mainly getting it for cosmetic purposes. One of the places I talked to recommended Rough Country over FabTech and Tuff Country. They said the quality was the same, however, the Rough Country is quite a bit cheaper. Any comments regarding Rough Country suspension lifts would be greatly appreciated. |

If this is your daily driver, I would look more at the spring rates than anything else. Choose something with a relatively soft ride, or your kidneys will hate you for it later. Ask your local shop to look in their books for the spring rates on each of the suspension systems. It should be pretty obvious as you listen to him read through them. The lower the number, the softer the ride. I'd suggest trying to find something around "stock" spring rates, which will likely be in the same book he looks at.
IMHO - putting FabTech and Rough Country in the same category is like putting a Pinto and a Ferrari in the same category. Again, IMHO.
BTW - what year, make, model is your Jeep?

Amen. Ive got two buddies. One with a rough country and the other with an OME lift.
Just like the lift implies. Man that "Rough Country is rough. However the OME "Old Man Emu" rides smooth as can be. |

| Yup! I'm running an OME lift on my Cruiser and LOVE IT!!! Very soft, very supple - yet nice on the street too. |
