i have a 90 cherokee 4.0 engine with fuel injection. i want to put a carb on it b/c i messed up the harness. will an intake from a 4.2 fit or is there a carb manifold made for this type of engine b/c i can only find manifolds for 232 and 258. and unless im mistaken my 4.0 is a 242. any help would be great. thanks[dude][dude]

Hi Scott - in all honesty, I think you'll be better off just fixing or replacing the harness.

There willbe some emissions problems that you'll have to deal with, and, some computer problems too. Not to mention, your fuel economy will also likely worsen.

I did some poking around and I couldn't find anyone who makes a manifold that will convert your engine from F/I to carb. Everyone else wants to go from carb to F/I anyhow, for various reasons.
