Are there any vehicles that came with Dana 60 or Dana 44 axles that are roughly the same width as CJ axles?

Jason I replaced the axles under my 76 cj7 with dana 44 out of a Scout II. I did a spring over modification in the rear and had to build new wider brackets on the front. You can build a pad on the front dif housing so you don't have to do the same modifications I did. But I love how it turned out. Now when I sidehill the body tub rolls into the tires not over the tires. By the way I have Two more Scouts for parts. Good Luck. ------------ Jason Austin at 9/1/1999 4:10:12 PM
