It sounds like you might have two seperate issues here...

lets tackle one at a time. First, tell me a bit about your childhood. Oh... wait, wrong question. :) Seriously though, tell me more about the humming sound you're experiencing. Is it happening all of the time, just when you're accelerating, or when you are decelerating?

Is it more of a whinning sound, a tire-like humming sound, or does it sound like it's something mechanical?

I no for a fact its not the tires and its only when im acclerating at about 2,000 rpms and speeds like 25mph. It happens on the high way to only acerating at like 60mph and its only in like certain rpm ranges (2,000's) but when i let off the gas it winds very minimal untill its drops out of that rpm range.

How do you know it's not the tires? A tire can have a belt seperate within the carcass without you knowing of it (rare, but it does happen).

OK... so assuming that it's definately not the tires, I would have to guess that there is something either in the transmission, the t-case or in the ring & pinion gears then. Typically R&P gears will hummmmm away under accelleration or decellartion only (typically not both), but it's usually consistent regardless of engine rpm.

Which means, that it's likely in the transmission or the t-case. Batch and Jody, my feature editor and my tech editor respecitvely, know a lot more about the Jeep t-cases than I do, so I'll let them chime in. But, I would venture to guess that it's in the t-case with this limited information.
