According to my handy-dandy tire chart, your Jeep came with 225 70R16 tires, which is effectively a 28.5" diameter tire.

According to my handy-dandy max-tire-size chart, you'll need a 2" lift (body lift or suspension) to fit your 31" tires.

Hope this helps, Rick

Rick,

You used the words handy-dandy twice in the same post.

The 40's called - the want you back.

LMAO! It could be worse. I could "have" randomly quoted words.

Or, I, could have, overused, commas, and, even, thrown a "Mmm" out there. ;)

Thanks for the information from your handy-dandy tire charts. Guess I'm just going to have to break down and get a 2" lift.

Thank you very much Bob

Wow - now you have SurplusJeep doing it too. Hey - maybe you can bring that term back into popularity. You can be like the Justin Timberlake of post war vernacular.

I'm bringin old terms back.
