I'm getting close to 65000 mi. on my 05 Liberty Rocky Mountain. I'm a little paranoid about the ball joints, after hearing all the problems with them. I punched in the VIN#s on jeeps web site and it said no open recalls. Would there be a noise or vibration or some other symptom that would indicate they need replacing. Thank in advance

Yea, you would feel some "death wobble" from the front if there was a problem. Ball joint issues make themselves VERY well known. If there is NO recall on your rig, forget about it till you have an issue. Thats my opinion, Webby??

thanks for the info. All seems good and tight no play and steering is good. I'm a little paranoid about it since I hear of so many ball joint problems on libertys. Thanks again

Just keep a close eye on them, and check for excessive play every few months, and you'll be good to go.

And when they DO go, be sure to just upgrade them. Dont have factory one's reinstalled.
