Well the search is over, I could not find any other 05 TJ's under 17K 05 TJ "X" 6cyl 6 speed man. C/C A/C CD Superlift Springs I am guessing 4" M/T MTX 33x12.5x15 M/T Classics 15x8 19,424 on the odo Paid $14,922 http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2609812

I will pit up some more info soon I need to find a white hood and maybe a tailgate, depends on if I go with a Tire Rack rear bumper. Need a good steering stabilizer too, I don't think the one that is on here is correct. Later Nick

Now I have to wait until I get to work in the morning. I won't be getting any sleep tonight. Well I did figure out someone had put the wrong type of steering stabilizer on the TJ. I am going to check around a see who recomends what brand. I just want the type that replaces the factory one, but of coarse with a bit more guts. Any suggestions???? Has anyone run the M/T MTX tires? I know three people and all three were not very happy with them. With that being said does anybody know anyone who would like to buy some M/T MTX Tires? 33x12.5x15 Like new. I am going to give them a chance first and get them balanced and see if that may help some, they seem a bit hard, that could be because of the large voids in the tread pattern. They do seem a bit weird being an A/T tire but with the large gap between the tread design. I will keep you posted. I am curious how my ride to work will be tomorrow with out the after market stabilizer, but it was mounted to the panard bar so I think if I had a little shimmy that it could be multipling it because it was mounted to the panard bar and it may ride better, then again I may have to do 35 mph all the way to work tomorrow. If so its a good thing I am not a yes man. later

hehehe - email me your mailing address to rick @ 4x4review . com and I'll send you some free of charge.

We're right in the midst of moving from Indy to Dallas (in fact, I'm sitting on an inflatable bed since the movers emptied my house today). I'll be able to get to that box after the 2nd of next month, which is when we move into our new place.

Is that cool?

P.S. - the new stickers are pretty cool looking. Very militaristic.

Hehehe... no worries. I have plenty of the small stickers left, and about 20 of the big windshield stickers. They're free to our frequent forums participants! You guys all have my email address, so just drop me a note around the 4th of May (include color preference of black or white, and a shipping address) and I'll mail them out.

Thanks, Rick

new wheels and tires, 33x10.5x15 bfg at's Cragar Soft 8's 15 x 8 rides much better got $500 for the tires and $220 for the wheels. The tires and wheels delivered were $750. I need something to do next but not sure what. I know I need sliders that have a step incorperated into them. I also want to do the front and rear cage kit. Od course real bumpers would be nice. Just one thing at a time.

It will be a sad day if Chrysler gets sold off in a fire sale and Jeep dies with it. In someway I guess it would be better to kill it because the Jeep is not much of a Jeep anymore these days. I will be surprised if they survive after recent buyout because new owner is a raider that knows nothing about building and marketing cars and they have no money of their own (they only had a profit of 180 last year) to play with as they use investors money to buy it so it really is not a private owner per say.

I gotta tell ya SnoMan - I test-drove the '07 Jeep Rubicon on the Rubicon trail late last year. The newest Jeep Wranglers are, without doubt, one of (if not, "the") most off-road capable vehicle built in the last 5-7 years. If you compare nearly any stock Jeep since it's inception and put it against the new Rubicon's, you'd see there is a stark "capability" difference.

I'm not a Jeep fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I'll be the first one to admit that Chrysler hit a grand slam with their Rubicon series of Jeeps - truly amazing off-road machines.

I have to disagree, I have been around Jeeps most of my life and have owned a few too and the new Jeeps are less jeep all the time. If I can find me a clean old stock CJ5 to play around with I may pick one up. Those were Jeeps!!! Today they are more focused on making the cars with more creature comforts than more Jeep like.

That goes for every single vehicle made today.

Maybe but I come from the old school and I remember when Jeeps were Jeeps first and not made for daily drivers with A/C. cruise and softer ride and the were sturdy and simple. Same with trucks. Chrysler in their attempt to make more profit from them turned them into something they were never meant to be. TO be the Jeep died when it went to coil over in front in mid 90's. Sorry to sound like a downer but I still remember by grandfathers several Willies when I was a kid in 50's and 60's and the how he preordered one of the first Wagoneer models ever made in 63 before he even could see one first hand.Jeep is slowly dying and it should either be split off from Chrysler that helped kill it or allowed to die.

I do understand where you are coming from. I totally understand what your saying. But every car/truck maker has done this with every vehicle. evolution of time. Yes a real jeep is a cj-5, 7, 8; or of course a MB. Thats a different vehicle for a different "overall" purpose. Then they were a 2nd vehicle and used for exactly what they were. In order to keep them around they had to go with the masses, and "sell out" to make them user friendly since I would guess 90% of the "newer" jeeps may see 2-3% of off road use thru its life. I agree but it the 2000's and this is whats out there.

BUT DO YOU LIKE MY TIRES AND WHEELS???????????????

Hey Nick - I really dig the tires and wheels. I think some 49" IROK's would look great though too. (Just kidding). ;0

Well when (down the road) I do either the Super 30 & 35 upgrade (and Lockers of course, or decide on a whole set of new axles, I want to do something in the 37 to 40 range. But thats way down the road, Right now my goal is fix or install what I need and then build from there. It sucks you have already done a rocker/slider install, thats what I need next so the short ones in the family can get in. I am looking but there are some many to choose from, I end up confusing myself.(doesn't take much) I wonder if air bags would work? But then I would need 22-24 inch wheels.
