| I own a 99 WJ with the 4.7L and the NP 247 TC. The chain has become stretched and is hitting the case when I'm driving. I just bought a new chain for it today. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the cost to install it?
Thanks! |

I think the book rate for this type of work is about 7 hours. If a mechanic charges about $50 per hour, that should work out to about $350 in labor cost. They'll also hit you up for new seals, gaskets, etc. I suspsect it shouldn't cost more than $400 to $500 tops.
