| i have an 04 grad cherokee and i don't like the brakes...they are soft at the beginning then grab but still feel mushy....is there any way to adjust the brakes to make them feel firm and consistant |

| its not a problem more of a dislike ...but to answer your question ever since i have had the jeep and my dad has an 03 and they feel the same...i just want to find a way to make them feel firm and was wonderin if anyone knew a way |

OK... just needed to make sure this wasn't a recent problem that came to be.
That said, there's not a whole lot you can do to change the feel, since part of it has to do with the relatively complex plumbing system associated wtih Chrysler's anti-lock braking system.
You can however, upgrade your brake pads to a set of high performance Hawk brake pads on the front and rear axles. I might suggest the performance ceramic brake pads for the front, and the HPS setup for the rear. I can't promise you that it will make the difference you're looking for, but I have upgraded to Rancho brake pads (they don't make them anymore) in the past and noticed an improvement in the feel.
At worst, you may want to give Hawk a call, and see what they have to say about it too.
