My son has a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. He had all the windows down yesterday and none will roll up. His driver door is showing open even though its closed. Is there a switch that is bad on that door. I am assuming if the driver door is open it will not allow you to roll up or down the windows.

As far as I know, there is nothing to stop the window from operating normally when the door is open. I do know, however, that those Jeep Grand Cherokee's are notorious for electrical problems. As a matter of fact I know a friend that has a 2003. His passenger side window is permanently down. He checked all his fuses, replaced the relay, and traced the wiring to the firewall (no power), and still cannot find the issue. Unless some one here knows something I dont (which is possible with the electrical, lol), then I would take it to a dealership or a good electronics shop. Electrical can be a real nightmare, especially on these newer rigs.

i have an 04 cherokee and my window quit workin and i found a snapped wire on the driver side between the door and the vehicle itself in the weather gromit......it was about a 5 dollar fix i would check there first.....you will have to remove the door pannel to take the gromit off there is a connector inside the door to allow this...then check all the wires for damage(the wire that broke on mine was black)...i just added wire to it and it has worked just fine ever since
