Subject: jeep grand cherokee whining from front wheels

can some one help me i have whining noise at front wheels sounds like tyres or wheel bearing woorse between 50 and 55 does not alter sound pitch if u go faster or slower eny ideas thanx

Is it more of a high pitched squealing sound? Does it sound metallic?

no its not metallic sounds like small stones stuck in tread but noise does not change at different speeds noise not so loud on rough surfaces tryes got approx 3mm tread left eny ideas thanx

Hmmm... could you have gravel inside your rims by any chance? Or, perhaps, some mud on the inside edge of your rim that the brake caliper is rubbing on?

try rotating the tires to rule out the tires

thanx rotated tyres i know this sounds funny but on stock firestone tyres do the rotation arrows all have to point clockwiseomn all 4 wheels thanx again

you can still move the front left to rear left and front right to rear right.....sometimes on 4wheel drives the front tires will wear uneven and cause noise and vibration....it might be worth a shot

hi guys as advised by u i swopped the wheels around and it seems much better as i was getting low on tread intend fitting new tyres to the front and that shoud crack it many thanx again
