Can anyone tell me what the best type of lift kit is to get for a 2001 Dodge 1500 4x4? And where is a good place to get one.
Thanx! |

It depends on how high you want to go and what size tires you want. I have the same truck with 33 inch tires and I just have taller coil springs in the front adding about 2 1/2 inches and add a leaf in the rear adding about an inch and it sits perfect.

My recommendation...body lift 2 or 3 inches...then a daystar 2 inch spacer with blocks on the rear...stock ride is retained and you gain 4 to 5 inches without breaking the bank...most 3 inch suspension kits are fine, also
once you go over 3 inches on the suspension, get ready to spend the money to do it right
