Does anyone have any experience with ram air on a 1500. I have run my filter box intake forward to the grill. It pokes through the fiber board shrouding to the side of the radiator. The results have bee questionable. Gas milage seems to be up, but the only real power increases I see are at night. I suspect that I am really seeing an increase in hp due to the colder air, not due to the air pressure. The main bennefit seems to be that I am drawing outside air instead of air from the engine compartment.

Hi Kevin I have a 2001 ram 4x4 w/5.9 auto< I have not been able to find a ram air syst as of yet for my truck, any ideas as to where to locate would be helpful, thinking a 99 should be the same , also was it worth the money? thanks ------------ Kevin at 11/12/1999 10:41:54 AM

Kevin, I own a 2002 4.7L and I have experiance with Cold Air induction. At this time I build and sell =AIR=RAM=> systems on e-bay. I use 4"ID light weight tubbing and insulate the system from the under hood temperatures. It will provide better MPG and noticable power gains. If you would like to take a look you will find it at:
