thought i could save me a couple of bucks,[:D]
rear u-joint was bad so i changed it about 2 weeks ago.
guess what?[barf2]
front u-joint was bad also just didn't bother to check it-(you prolbly can guess where this is going)[V]
sunday went to the hardware store in the truck, got about half way home front u-joint decides it wants to go fo a walk away from the truck, naturally I did NOT have any tools in the **bleeping** truck [B)]so i have to hoof it about 2 miles each way to bring some wrenches so i can take off the drive shaft to 'limp home' in front wheel drive(great thing about 4wd), front u-joint toast- drive shaft bounced around between ground, bottom of truck and muffler(new dents in it) tore up rear u joint and u-bolts holding rear u-joint on.
so long story short i saved 10 bucks to spend 30 bucks to fix it again(right way this time)[@#@] |

DOH! [zomb]
I've seen worse though, where the front driveshaft's front uJoint broke and tried to pole vault the truck, resulting in a quick death of the transfer case. THAT was ugly!

| I feel like I got off lucky it happened in town and was only going about 25 mph and not on the highway going 65-it would have cost a lot more |
