I ran across these tweaks that speed up the page loading in Netscape 8.x and FireFox. By default, multiple data requests for a page load are disabled (a web page is actually a seriies of data loads that are streamed to your browser and on a broadband connection you can speed page loading a lot if you enable it. See link below for instructions on how to do this.
